Two years after the royal wending Carrot Top is out tending her fields far away from Ponyville when she decides to go into town to buy some lunch. To her horror when she gets there she finds very pony in town lying dead and mutilated on the streets. Well staring in horror at the horrific sight laid out before her she hears a cry of pain from the tree house library where she finds the only survivor Twilight Sparkle bleeding to death on the floor.
Before she dies Twilight tells Carrot top that it was the changelings who did this in an act of revenge on the main six for stopping their plans. Enraged Carrot top says that she wants revenge on them for this and despite her generally pacifistic nature Twilight agrees to help her. Firstly Twilight directs carrot to a locked safe behind a book case and tells her the combination, to her amazement the safe contains two magic guns (I.E magic tubes capable of enlarging and firing any object placed in them). Secondly Twilight casts a life force spell exchange on Carrot top (I.E a spell that increases carrot’s physical strength and extends her life by what would have been the remained of Twilights thus killing Twilight) knowing that she’s about to die anyway
Over the next year (after burying the bodies) Carrot teaches her self marksmanship and martial arts using books from Twilight’s Library. Finally after she feels ready she leaves the dead town for appaloosa where she’s head stories of changelings and planes to get her first taste of revenge.
Upon arrival in appaloosa Carrot top finds the job easier then she expected thanks to her enhanced senses being too good for their shape shifting powers, and is able to kill the four changelings terrorizing the town fairly quickly. Despite this bloodshed however she feels unsatisfied and realises she must hunt down every last changeling in existence if her revenge is ever to be total

Carrot top stands in the Changeling queen’s throne room surrounded by the bodies’ of her guards. she looks at the trembling queen....... and smiles
